Символические и эмблематические образы в произведениях Жоржа де Ла Тура

Аннотация
Жизнеподобная трактовка в произведениях Жоржа де Ла Тура создает впечатление их абсолютной открытости для восприятия. Некоторое недоумение вызывает несоответствие картин на религиозную тематику традиционным иконографическим стандартам, что обычно рассматривается как доказательство равнодушия лотарингского мастера к конфессиональным условностям и его предрасположенности к реалистической манере. Однако изучение исторического контекста приводит к убеждению, что работы художника тесным образом связаны с происходившими мировоззренческими процессами. Оригинальность интерпретации свидетельствует о связи с искусством современной Ла Туру гомилетики и о желании художника показать близость мистической реальности. Творчество Ла Тура правильнее рассматривать не как веху на пути к реалистической картине, но как попытку создать новую религиозную живопись.
